    Covering almost 10 million square kilometers, our immense country arose from a cultural intertwining of inestimable richness. Arriving by grandiose sailboats after a long voyage across the ocean, the new arrivals set foot ashore. In their luggage, they carried instruments, musical scores, and a style of playing from the old continent. France, England, Scotland and Ireland will take the lead in this concert as we explore the music of different cultural communities who came from Europe to settle in Canada. This concert also includes original arrangements by Guillaume Bouchard of well-known Québecois folk melodies.

    Flute Alors! is very happy to present a live concert as part of the Montreal Baroque Festival on June 18 at 9 p.m.!
     
    WINDS AND WEATHER
    Prepare for a stormy night of tempests and tides, winds and weather. The members of Flûte Alors! have arranged iconic and theatrical music for recorders.
    Vivaldi, Locke, Telemann, Dvořák, Maute
     
    Procedural masks must be worn at all times, bring your own, all seats will be distanced, doors will open at 8:30 pm
     

    O ROSA BELLA – AVAILABLE ONLINE FROM MARCH 20TH TO APRIL 3RD

    Spanning three centuries (c.1400-c.1650), the Franco-Flemish school is a major musical movement divided into five or six generations, and represents a variety of stylistic differences. The exchanges of ideas, favored by increased travel throughout Europe and the invention of musical printing advanced musical theory and dissemination of composers’ works. The result is a melodic and harmonic symbiosis specific to Franco-Flemish polyphony.  In this concert, the theme of the rose serves as a common thread throughout the programme. In addition to celebrating the love between two beings, the rose also symbolizes the Virgin Mary.

    Thanks to you, our 2020-2021 virtual concert season is a reality!

    This concert is available from January 30th to February 13rd

    Flûte Alors! dedicates the first concert of the season to Johann Sebastian Bach. The

    ensemble presents original arrangements of pieces you thought you knew backwards and

    forwards! On the program: large-scale works such as the Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor

    and Brandenburg Concerto No. 6, as well as more intimate works such as the Leipzig

    chorales, originally written for a single organ. With this concert, the quartet continues its

    exploration of Bach’s fascinating repertoire.

    Summer music in the garden

    Le 12 juillet à 16h, Flûte Alors! présentera le concert Telemann: à 1,2,3,4! via la plateforme Viméo en suivant ce lien. 
     
    Ce concert sera présenté dans le cadre de la série de concert Summer Music in the Garden de Toronto qui a adapté sa programmation estivale 2020 pour présenter des concerts virtuels.
